The KX-TAW848’s modular design allows you to tailor the system to meet your specific requirements. The KX-TAW848 combines versatile wired telephone system features with the expanded functionality of advanced multi-cell wireless technology to meet the needs of today’s upscale residential, SOHO and small business environments. Similar to the popular KX-TA624 system, the KX-TAW848 allows connectivity with the KX-T7700 series of proprietary wired telephones, single-line devices and voice mail integration. However, the KX-TAW848 is unique relative to its KX-TA624 sibling in that it is not only a traditionally wired PBX system, but it also has the option of adding a complete Multi-Cell Wireless phone system.
This dynamic addition provides a new level of clear wireless system communications with expanded area coverage unheard of in a system of this size and price.In terms of capacity, this system can be configured with a maximum of 8 CO lines and up to 24 wired and 28 wireless telephones. The system also supports single line telephones (SLT) and 4 doorphones/openers. This system offers a modular design combined with PC programming making installation fast and simple. Additional system maintenance chores are a breeze and can be performed off premises by the installer with the optional remote card. Whether your telephone needs call for a wireless system, a wired system or both, the KX-TAW848 offers the latest technology and extraordinary flexibility at a surprising cost.

Programming and Maintenance: The system is equipped with a built-in RS232 and a USB port for on site access and PC programming. It can also be set up so the system can be accessed remotely via an optional dial-up modem card.

*1 Slots 10 and 11 accept only cards which do not have external ports. Therefore, these slots do not have removable cover plates.
*2 Slot 02 has an LCOT4 card pre-installed.
*3 Slot 01 is the pre-installed Hybrid Ports. No optional service card can be installed.

The PBX supports a maximum of 28 items of terminal equipment, including 4 SLTs that are connected by the parallel connection to APTs using the Hybrid Ports.

Wired Handsets for the KX-TAW848
The KX-TAW848 System can handle up to 8 CO lines and it can handle up to 28 wired extensions and 28 portable stations. The wired extensions that will work with this system are the Panasonic 7700, 7300 and 7000 series proprietary telephones, single line telephones (SLT). The system can also handle up to 4 door intercom/openers. Please note that not all maximums can be reached simultaneously.
